... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late Friday night through Sunday morning... ... Winter Weather Advisory is cancelled...
The National Weather Service in State College has cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late Friday night through Sunday morning.
Occasional snow showers will continue overnight into early Friday... however additional accumulations are expected to remain on the light side. Some locally higher amounts are possible on the ridges.
Snow accumulations of six inches or more are possible from late Friday night through Saturday night in association with an approaching storm system moving east through the Ohio Valley. Sleet and freezing rain may mix in at times across the Laurel Highlands. There is still some uncertainty with regard to the exact track of the system... which will ultimately influence storm total snowfall amounts and precipitation types.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite source of weather information for the latest updates. Additional details can also be found at... weather.Gov/statecollege.
